"Having once worked in a department within the School of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University, I've grown a little picky about my vets. When your boss is the person teaching some of the best young best vets to be, well, you have some standards...

I usually drive way out to Clearview to take my dog in, and I never thought I'd stop going there. They're great and if I lived anywhere near there still I'd never stop seeing them. But, my deadlines loom and I just can't take half a day off to take my dog in right now. But, there's a new place three blocks from work, really close to home and I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did.

The staff was very friendly and the little guy was as calm as a super hyper little dog can get. Dr. Sheets was great, had actually read over his file and knew he had a mast cell tumor removed a couple years ago even though he's such a young dog. She asked about his ears--prone to infection and generally always itchy. She also knew off hand that the ear that is currently infected was not the ear that was last infected. That's some attention to detail. I felt as though she had been the one to last see him and that made me feel really good.

The best part? I received full notes of his physical exam via email as a PDF. They sent me a login to access their "pet portal" so I can:

  • Check your pet's health records
  • Request an appointment
  • Search our extensive pet health library
  • View your pet's medication schedules
  • View vaccination history
  • Upload photos of your pet
  • Update your account information
  • Check your pet's vaccination/medical service status
  • Send yourself medication reminders by email
  • Shop our online store

Booking appointments online? So I can have ALL my calendars in front of me? Yes please! Have my dogs records on my computer without having to scan them in myself?! THANK YOU!!!!! So I received the PDF of my dog's physical exam by the time we walked home from our appointment, less than 10 minutes later. I just logged into the portal; 13 hours after my appointment ended (received the email 11.5 hours after) and his vaccinations records are in there, the medications he's currently on, when they were prescribed, the dosages, his next appointment, etc. They're so thorough!

I love this place. I do. I really love it."

"Wonderful clinic. Cute, clean, great staff. I tried them out because I felt nickel and dimed at my old vet, and I had a great experience here. I liked that they told me what things would cost and got my approval before doing them. My dog wasn't due for any vaccinations, but they said they would hang onto my printed yelp page, and the next time she needed shots she'd get them for free."

"Last Saturday our 10yr old dog developed an ear infection. Our regular Vet's office 'didn't have an opening' to see her. The earliest they could see us was Monday. At first I felt really frustrated and angry. Next, I remembered a new clinic that's opened down the road from my home and decided to check them out. Looked them up on Google and called their office; got an appointment to see a Vet almost immediately. We saw Dr Walker who tended to the infection and also gave us some valuable nutrition tips as well. After this experience, we'll probably be changing our Vet to Redmond-Kirkland Animal Hospital."

"We are new to the East Side and were looking for a vet close to our new home. After seeing their office was AAHA Accredited I decided to give them a try. Dr. Walker was very caring to both pet and owner taking time to answer all of our pet adjustment questions, both behavioral and medical, about the area. The office staff was friendly and professional. The facility was new and clean."

"Does your dog pull on the leash to get into the vet's office? Mine does :)

My little rescue mutt comes here for doggie daycare (hours: 8am - 5:30pm). Yay! She loves all her human and canine friends here. Carla, the main daycare provider, is awesome with the dogs, often taking time with my dog to socialize her with big dogs and children (my dog has some issues with both; it is an ongoing battle with lots of training and positive reinforcements). They go to Marymoor Park to run around on- or off-leash (depending on your dog, I think. Sophie stays on leash mostly), or elsewhere for a romp. Sophie is now buddies with Carla's medium-sized dogs, often choosing to snuggle with them. Which, for a scaredy-cat dog, is kind of a big deal.

They have a playroom at the office with cozy kennels, beds, and toys. There aren't a ton of dogs each day, so your dog isn't thrown in with a pack, hoping for the best, like you might see at some other places. One of those other places I've been to let the dogs pee on the floor indoors, ewww... Stinky puppy at the end of the day. Not here.

Everyone here is super friendly and Sophiedog gets lots of love."
