Laser Capabilities

We are proud to boast that we are one of the only hospitals on the Eastside with a CO2 laser. This advanced instrument allows us to do surgery with minimal bleeding, decreased swelling, and little to no pain. If you are considering declawing your cat, this is the most humane option available in veterinary medicine! For more info on our CO2 laser click here.

General Surgery

Prior to anesthesia all of our patients have a pre-anesthetic blood test. The goal is to identify any silent health problems that may compromise our patients while under anesthesia. All of our anesthetized patients receive IV fluids during the procedure to help maintain adequate blood pressure. We have special monitors to ensure that anesthetic procedures are as safe as possible. During surgery we will be able to assess your pet’s blood pressure, respiration and heart rate, oxygen level, and body temperature. By knowing these values, we can immediately make adjustments should the need arise.

Our state-of-the-art surgical suite has the most advanced surgical equipment. We monitor the patient's vital signs and utilize the best available inhalant anesthetics to provide the safest anesthetic experience. This is especially important for our older or high-risk patients. We use warming pads to help maintain body temperature during surgery, which helps reduce trauma and improve the overall recovery. We are equipped to perform a variety of soft tissue, gastrointestinal, and elective surgeries.
